Patricia Olabanji

Patricia Olabanji is Nigerian-American and currently a junior at Drexel University. She is studying Music Industry with a double Minor in Business Administration and Real Estate Management and Development. Here at Drexel, Olabanji is involved in various ensembles such as the Drexel University Symphony Orchestra and the Gospel Choir (for which she is currently the President).
Growing up in Prince George's County, Maryland, she developed her passion for gospel music. Teaching herself violin, piano and other instruments, she first started playing in her local church when there was a need. Olabanji now heads multiple music departments in her church that operate throughout the East Coast.
This past summer, she finished her co-op with Enon Music Group, a Philadelphia based gospel record label, she worked closely with the President of the label to see to the day to day operations.
Olabanji is currently running her own company where she teaches music to children with a focus on kids from marginalized communities. She started her company at the age of 16 with just one student but has since significantly increased. In the future, Olabanji hopes to combine her entrepreneurial mindset with her passion for music by further scaling up her music business, owning/investing in real estate properties surrounding the music industry, all while maintaining her passion- making music!
